Last checked 2026-10-17. Refreshed every three months.

Birmingham’s restaurants cluster downtown, where the Pizitz Food Hall lists 11 food stalls under one roof, and across the Southside, from UAB and Five Points South to Lakeview and Highland Park. Avondale and The Summit area off U.S. 280 round out the map.

Each list below is alphabetical. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Birmingham’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website. Addresses in Hoover, Homewood, Vestavia Hills and other neighbors that use a “Birmingham” mailing address are left out. None of the lists is a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on them. Run a restaurant? Write to us to correct an entry.
